How does KOLD Care begin?
It begins with a paid inspection and tune-up shaped around the equipment in your home. KOLD completes the appropriate seasonal work, explains the system’s condition and recommends the most useful next step.
What if my home has more than one system?
Tell KOLD how many systems serve the home, or send a photo or short description if you are unsure. KOLD will explain what the first visit should include and provide current pricing before you decide how to proceed.
What if the equipment has not been maintained in a long time?
The first visit establishes the condition of the equipment. If it needs deeper cleaning or repair before routine seasonal care begins, KOLD will explain why and quote that work separately. You choose how to proceed.
What types of HVAC systems can KOLD maintain?
KOLD works with common residential equipment including central air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, packaged systems and ductless equipment. The work is adapted to the equipment installed in your home.
Are repairs included?
No. Repairs, parts, deeper cleaning and other corrective services are separate from routine KOLD Care maintenance. KOLD explains any recommended work before you approve it.
Does the 10% repair discount include parts and labor?
Yes. Active KOLD Care customers receive 10% off residential HVAC repair parts and labor performed by KOLD while the plan is active.
Are filters included?
Filters are not supplied by the plan. A customer-supplied standard filter can be changed during maintenance when it is accessible and appropriate for the system.
Is refrigerant included?
No. KOLD may evaluate refrigerant-system performance where applicable, but adding refrigerant, finding or repairing a leak and related corrective work are separate services.
What does priority scheduling mean?
When service demand is high, active KOLD Care customers are prioritized within KOLD's normal service schedule.
What if my system currently needs repair?
Start with a repair request so KOLD can diagnose the current problem. After the repair, KOLD can help you put seasonal maintenance on the calendar.
Is KOLD Care available for commercial equipment?
KOLD Care is residential. Commercial maintenance is planned separately around the equipment, property, operating needs and visit schedule.
When are the two ongoing visits scheduled?
One visit is planned for the spring cooling season and one for the fall heating season. KOLD coordinates the timing with you within its normal schedule.
Do I have to remember to schedule the ongoing visits?
No. KOLD reaches out when it is time to arrange each seasonal visit.
Does maintenance guarantee that my HVAC system will not break?
No. Maintenance cannot prevent every failure. It gives KOLD two useful opportunities each year to check operation, address routine maintenance and point out developing problems.
